Happy Draft Day, 2025

We made it. 74 days after that pathetic excuse for a Superbowl, it's finally Draft Day.

Let Mel Kiper Jr. be a fixture in every American household tonight, and may God bless this mock draft.

  1. Titans - Cam Ward, QB, Miami

Tennessee holds on to the number one pick and takes the best quarterback in the draft. The Titans need to nail more than just this pick if they want to avoid being back in the top 5 of the draft next year, but Cam Ward has the arm strength and athleticism to be a superstar in the NFL.

  1. Browns - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise St

You won't find this pick anywhere else on the internet or on TV. And as much as I want to see Abdul Carter rush the passer opposite Myles Garrett for the next 5 years, I think Jimmy Haslam takes the Heisman runner-up. Especially with Jerome Ford as Cleveland's current RB1.

  2. Giants - Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

New York benefits from Tennessee and Cleveland drafting for need and lands the top prospect in the draft (according to CSB experts) and a player that Joe Schoen has said would play both ways if he falls to the Giants at three.

  3. Patriots - Abdul Carter, DE, Penn State

I think the Patriots expect to take Will Campbell tonight, assuming someone in the top three will take Carter. But if he is available at four, Mike Vrabel may have a hard time not going with an elite player at the position he played in NE.

  4. Jaguars - Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Jags nab a player I think will stand out in this draft class and fill a position of need. Although new Head Coach Liam Coen seems like a freak so who knows where they go with this pick.

  5. Raiders - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Raiders GM John Spytek and new minority owner Tom Brady share at least one thing in common with Mason Graham in that they are Michigan men. Raiders need help in several areas so why not start their draft with a player most expect to be a 10-year NFL starter.

  6. Jets - Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Aaron Glenn may never forgive Darren Mougey for passing on Will Johnson and Malaki Starks for an offensive tackle, but Mougey has the final say and he goes with the top o-lineman in the draft, which is rarely a bad idea.

  7. Panthers - Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Carolina makes it two tight ends in the top ten and in the process snag a player who can both block for Chuba Hubbard and catch for Bryce Young.

  8. Saints - Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia

Williams seems like the perfect Cam Jordan replacement, who turns 36 this summer.

  1. Bears - Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas

I had Banks to the 49ers in every mock until now. But the Bears ruin his chances at becoming Trent Williams replacement by forcing him to play in Chicago.

  1. 49ers - Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

Golden's speed makes him a possible replacement for Deebo Samuel in San Francisco and his spectacular catch ability gives him a high ceiling as a bonafide WR1

  2. Cowboys - Jalon Walker, OLB, Georgia

I think the Cowboys would love to take Golden to pair with CeeDee Lamb, but when the Bears took Banks over Membou they set in motion a series of events that changed the course of history, and helped Jalon Walker avoid slipping any further in the draft.

  1. Dolphins - Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Miami goes with one the fastest players in the draft and fills a position of need in one fell swoop.

  2. Colts - Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

Indianapolis is another team with needs in several areas, but they start with the tackle/guard from Missouri with Warren and Loveland both off the board.

  3. Falcons - Mike Green, DE, Marshall

The talk of the senior bowl lands in Atlanta where his maddog aggressive style will help a team that needs to improve its ability to get to the quarterback.

  1. Cardinals - Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Another insidie linebacker from Alabama going in the first round. Arizona hopes this pick works out better than the Isaiah Simmons pick from a few years ago.

  2. Bengals - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Cincinnati didn't imagine in their wildest dreams that the 2024 CFP MVP would fall to them at 17, but he does, and they take him.

  1. Seahawks - Shemar Stewart, DE, Texas A&M

I want this pick to be Nick Emmanwori from South Carolina because he reminds me of Kam Chancellor, but Seattle goes with a hyper athletic edge rusher who so far has shown more potential than production.

  2. Bucs - Tet McMillan, WR, Arizona

Tell me you don't see a bit of Mike Evans when you look at McMillan.

  1. Broncos - Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

Denver adds a weapon for Bo Nix, although grabbing an elite corner to pair with Surtain would be interesting.

  2. Steelers - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The pick that ESPN will be waiting for. Aaron Rodgers can go back to doing acid in Ibiza. Sanders could be Mike Tomlin's last stand in Pittsburgh.

  3. Chargers - Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

Within seconds of the pick being announced, Harbaugh will have sent Hampton 45 text messages and three of them will contain nudes.

  4. Packers - Donovan Ezeiruaku, DE, Boston College

Packers defensive coordinator was the head coach at Boston College the season before last, so I expect him to push for the GM Brian Gutekunst to take Ezeiruaku to shore up their defensive line.

  1. Vikings - Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Minnesota should take Malaki Starks here because of how much of an impact player he is, but they instead decide to protect JJ McCarthy with the big fella from his rival school.

  1. Texans - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Houston replaces Stefon Diggs with Egubka, whom CJ Stroud knows well from his days in Columbus.

  2. Rams - Donovan Jackson, OT, Ohio State

Not sure exactly which o-lineman the Rams will choose, but Jackson was impressive moving from RT to LT after Josh Simmons got injured this season.

  1. Ravens - Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

While they didn't plan on Starks falling to them, Baltimore lands the top safety in the class and someone who can do it all in the defensive backfield.

  2. Lions - Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota State

Dan Campbell loves an underdog and Zabel can play any position on the o-line, giving the Lions some insurance in case anyone goes down with injury.

  3. Commanders - Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame

There are a few safeties who Washington will consider here but I think Watts' well-rounded talents as both a ball hawk in the passing game and a willing tackler in the run game make him a good pick in the late first round.

  4. Bills - Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

Amos has the size and pedigree coming out of the SEC to improve the Bills secondary on day one.

  5. Chiefs - Tyler Booker, G, Alabama

If Booker played anything other than interior o-line he would be a much higher selection.

  6. Eagles - Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Philly stacks their already stacked d-line with another big boy from the SEC.

And there you have it. Enjoy the first round from God's country, Green Bay Wisconsin.

PS - Go Knicks
