NFL WEEK 1 PICKS

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen......

It's TIME!!!!

For your NFL Week 1 Let's Get Rich Early So We Can Be Comfortable All Season Long predictions blog:

It's Sunday morning. The first real weekend of fall now that Labor day is behind us. Football all weekend long. RedZone all Sunday long. Someone pour me a glass of orange juice to wash down this humble pie that Vegas is about to serve me. (psyche, I own Vegas. I am the board and the board is me. I am the board and the board is me. Gotta be optimistic today).

Can't believe we are here. The NFL is officially back as of today.

LET'S GET RIGHT TO IT - NFL WEEK 1 PICKS:

Early Bird Gets The Worm 1 PM Games

CLEVELAND ROCKS!

The Brownies are fresh out of the oven and choc full of "nuts" this season. Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb & David Njoku are finely tuned instruments for team conductor Baker Mayfield to orchestrate. Former #1 overall pick Myles Garrett and #4 overall pick Denzel Ward anchor a defense that added the likes of Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson to its arsenal. Baker Baker Touchdown Maker has given off a "fuck everyone who doubts me/us" vibe since he entered the league and he carries a lot of self-created pressure to succeed this season now that GM John Dorsey has given him some legit pieces to work with. Rookie Head Coach (although he was an interim HC after Hue (Who?) Jackson was fired midway through last season) Freddy "if you can't handle the heat stay out of the" Kitchens will want to come out of the gates on a positive note as well. Cleveland really can't afford to lose this home opener after all the hype they have gotten this offseason. "The Year of the Browns" they say... we'll I am actually buying it. Mariota stinks and Tennessee is due to hit rock bottom sooner than later.

THE PICK:

Browns -5.5

Browns ML -255

The Score:

Browns 33 - Titans 17

J! E! T! S! PLEASE! DON'T! LOSE!

Sam Darnold returns under center for his sophomore season, but let's hope he looks anything but sophomoric.

The More You Know.

Adam Gase looks to go 1-0 as a Jet coming off a lackluster performance in his last gig as HC of the Miami Dolphins. LeVeon Bell looks to silence the haters in his first regular season action since 2017. CJ Moseley is leading the defense which is poised to be stalwart

Big vocab day at CSB.

I trust the Jets today for god know's why. The Bills shouldn't be good. Two pretty tough defenses squaring off but the Jets having homefield advantage plus Leveon Bell in the backfield tip the scales for me. If Darnold can't beat Josh Allen head to head then the Jets have another thing coming.

THE PICK:

Jets ML -140

The Score:

Jets 20 - Bills 14

WILL YOU EVER QUIT? NO! WE WANT SOME (BALTI)MORE! WE WANT SOME (BALTI)MORE!

Two words why I like Baltimore this week. Miami Dolphins. Two more words why I like Baltimore this week. Lamar Jackson. Two final words why I like Baltimore this week. Josh Rosen.

I know Rosen didn't win the starting QB job, but he's such a loser that I think he poisons this team from the bench. Ryan Fitzmagic actually does scare me as the Miami starter because his magic is unpredictable, but it doesn't scare me enough to avoid this game. I think the Ravens will be sneaky good this year with Lamar Jackson having a breakthrough season, Mark Ingram proving he's still a beast now that he doesn't have to share a backfield with Alvin Kamara, and Earl Thomas ballhawking a very good secondary for the defense.

Miami sucks. Baltimore is good. Go with the obvious.

THE PICK:

Ravens -7

The Score:

Ravens 31 - Dolphins 9

Early Bird Gets The Worm 1 PM Games PICKS RECAP:

Browns -5.5

Browns ML -255

Jets ML -140

Ravens -7

Thinking Of You's Working Up My Appetite Looking Forward To A Little Afternoon Delight 4 PM Games

I have a long tested theory in my brain that the 4 pm games are for Underdogs. Moneyline Dawgs. That's my motto for the 4pm showdowns as you will most likely pick up on over the course of the season. Another thing is I hate to pick the later games until the early slate is over. Need to know if I'm chasing the rent or building on my empire before the mental state kicks in where all I'm seeing is winners. But enough about me. Let's just get to the picks.

GIANTS, GIANTS HELP US GOD!

That's right. I'm calling for an upset of America's Team in week 1. Too much drama about Zeke's contract, Dak's contract, Cooper's contract. Do they even play football in Dallas anymore or is it just contract negotiations 24/7/365?

Eli is starting for the G-men but here's my prediction for how the game lays out:

Cowboys score.

Eli 3 and out.

Cowboys score.

Eli sacked, 3 and out.

Cowboys fumble.

Eli picked.

Cowboys field goal. 17-0.

Eli benched.

And the Daniel Jones era begins midway through the 2nd quarter trailing 17-0. A thrilling comeback by Jones leads the Giants to a 31-27 victory over the Cowboys in Dallas to build on a great NFC North rivalry.

THE PICK:

Giants ML +270

The Score:

Giants 31 - Cowboys 27

Benjuls!

I guess that's why they call it Cin City. Cincinnati. I hate them. I always try and fade the Bengals. But I also hate the Seahawks. Probably should just avoid this game altogether but I like the +350 line for an opening weekend game with two mediocre teams. Any Given Sunday amirite.

Plus the goodneighborstuff video of being a sports fan is #1. Benjuls!!!

THE PICK:

Bengals ML +350

The Score:

Bengals 27 - Seahawks 20

Afternoon Delight PICKS RECAP:

Giants ML +270

Bengals ML +350

FULL SLATE PICKS RECAP:

Browns -5.5

Browns ML -255

Jets ML -140

Ravens -7

Giants ML +270

Bengals ML +350

And for your evening viewing pleasure, I suggest we take it slowly depending on how the 1 pm / 4pm games turn out. If there's money to spend, then have at it. But I won't be chasing dough on a Steelers Pats week 1 showdown. But yeah steadfast rule is don't bet against the Pats at home with Brady/Belichick still in the fold.

Good luck, chuck. Today is going to be glorious.
